All Driftwood Pens are distinctly made in Coquitlam BC, Canada by Trevor. Each Original Driftwood, RES’Q, Kaleidoscope and Fusion pen is made using material that has been foraged or comes from reclaimed items, the resin is coloured and poured in-house and the pens are hand turned by Trevor. He takes the time to select, mill, cut, turn, sand, finish and choose the hardware for each pen with deliberate intention. Each pen is different from the next making each one unique. Trevor celebrates the natural flaws, the knots, the discolouration and though he has the ability to remake certain styles, no pen is exactly the same – which means no claims of, “I thought it was mine”.
ResQ | Ballpoint | Hickory | Streamline | Chrome with Stylus Tip
$45.00
Any Barbequers out there? Don’t get mad but this ball point pen is made from Hickory that had been found drying in a shed. Instead of burning it in the fireplace or using it in a smoker to flavour some bacon, Trevor decided to turn this aromatic hardwood into a pen. This is a perfect instrument to hold and write those scathing letters to politicians. The hardware used is chrome and instead of the standard end cap I have substituted it for a stylus tip. To help protect your new pen it is packaged in a protective sheath made from reclaimed leather. Hickory symbolizes the aspects of our life that we are holding onto that need to be released and shared. Maybe it is referring to your brisket recipe.
** The ink is easily replaceable with a standard cross style refill.
