I make all Driftwood Pens distinctly made in Coquitlam BC, Canada. Each Original Driftwood, RES’Q, Kaleidoscope and Fusion pen is made using material that has been foraged or comes from reclaimed items, the resin is coloured and poured in-house and the pens are hand turned by me. I take the time to select, mill, cut, turn, sand, finish and choose the hardware for each pen with deliberate intention. Each pen is different from the next making each one unique. I celebrate the natural flaws, the knots, the discolouration and though I have the ability to remake certain styles, no pen is exactly the same – which means no claims of, “I thought it was mine”.

This ball point has been made from a reclaimed exotic hardwood from a build in North Vancouver. This wood typically comes from Indonesia, Malaysia and other Southeast Asian countries and it is often compared to Teak but is preferred by many because of its colouring and unique aesthetics, it also has the same Class A flame spread rating as concrete. Bet you didn’t think you would get a crash course on Red Balau Batu. This pen would make a meaningful gift as it symbolizes quality and a sturdiness and trustworthiness that is of no question. A protective case made from reclaimed and re-purposed leather is included to complement your new pen.
